YOUTH MINISTRY

Southwest NH Catholic Community Youth Group will be hosting The Theology of the Body for Teens!
Led By: Laina Barakat

A graduate of Ave Maria University, majoring in Philosophy, I have joined the Southwest NH Catholic Community as Youth Minister with high hopes of sharing the writings of one of my favorite philosophers, John Paul II. I look foward to meeting you all and invite you to join me and give the former pope a try....I guarantee you'll be surprised at how much this simple priest understood about who we are as individuals, through the study of human sexuality, and the purpose for which God created us male and female.

"Theology of the Body for Teens presents the two hottest topics on the planet--God and sex--and "marries" them through Pope John Paul II's compelling vision for love and life. Using a great mix of stories, real-life examples, activities, prayers, and references to the culture that teens understand, Theology of the Body for Teens answers the questions teens have about their own bodies, issues on sexual morality, and how they were uniquely created for greatness."

Sunday Nights, 6pm-7pm, Clairvaux Center Youth Room

The Youth Ministry has been active in the Keene area, and is sending the only group from our diocese to World Youth Day 2008 in Sydney this summer.  In addition, youth from our parishes participate each year in the Steubenville East Youth Conference in Attleboro, MA, Youth Fest (held each May in Manchester), and Proud 2Bcatholic Music Festivals held each summer in Massachusetts
