OUTREACH TO SICK AND HOMEBOUNDVISITING AND COMMUNION CALLSThe five churches served by the priests, deacons, and volunteers combined to form one OUTREACH Program in the past three years called the Catholic Community Outreach Ministry of Southwest NH. One aspect of this united effort, through visitations and communion calls, is assisting those who are sick or homebound. This ministry trains parishioners as Eucharistic Ministers to bring the Body of Christ in communion to the elderly, the sick, those involved in short-term rehabilitation, and those who are homebound for any reason. This involves serving Catholics in their private homes, hospital, nursing homes, and assisted living centers. For more info:If you are interested or are being called by the Holy Spirit to serve in this capacity, please call Deacon Arnold Gustafson at 352-3525 (ext 30).
THE MINISTRY OF MANYThe Outreach ministry gets occasional requests for light housekeeping from those elderly and physically challenged who also find it hard to be able to afford assistance, requests for a friendly visitor, or requests for transportation to church, medical appointments and shopping. We are always looking for parishioners who may be able to help out when the need arises. The requests are sometimes temporary, limited in time commitment, or one-time opportunities. If you are flexible or have free time and wish to give assistance to those in need, then you may be called by the Holy Spirit to lend a helping hand. We attempt to cover requests from the five churches served by our clergy. For more info:Marybeth Boss – 352-7571 Diane Graffin – 358-6354
