CATHOLIC CAMPUS MINISTRY FOR KEENE STATE COLLEGE

Students at the Newman Center

THE NEWMAN CENTER

The Diocese  of Manchester has established a Newman Center at St. Bernard parish in order to minister to the students, faculty and staff of Keene State College.  The Newman Center is located on the ground floor of the Clairvaux Center. It is a place where students can come to pray, relax, meet with friends, read the paper, have lunch , take a break, play pool, ... or just be.  It is open from 8:30am-5:00pm and for scheduled activities and events in the evenings and on weekends.

The goal of Catholic Campus Ministry at the Newman Center is to provide a welcoming environment where students can create a Christ-centered community where each individual can grow in holiness through prayer, study, service and social interaction.  The Newman Center is staffed full time by Marika Donders.

Students Sharing

THE NEWMAN STUDENT ORGANIZATION

The KSC sponsored Newman Student Organization meets at the Newman Center to socialize and to explore student life, culture, prayer and community from a Catholic perspective.  All students are welcome, regardless of their religious affiliation or lack thereof.

All our programs depend on the participation and input of the students. In addition to attending Mass at St. Bernard, our campus ministry program offers opportunities for private and communal prayer, retreats, volunteer work in the community and beyond, sharing and learning about our Catholic faith, and social interaction at celebrations and weekly suppers.
