BEREAVEMENT MEALS MINISTRY

Over the past year, this ministry has served many families who have experienced the loss of a loved one.  Many have commented on the hospitality extended to them and also expressed a desire to get closer to the Church community.  This has happened because of the dedication of six teams of parishioners from St. Bernard’s, St. Margaret Mary’s and Immaculate Conception.  But we are always in need of more helpers.  It takes little time to prepare just one aspect of the sumptuous meal served.  And our team captains are great hostesses as well as motivated leaders.  We hope to extend this program to the parish of Mary Queen of Peace through their parishioners and the leadership of the Catholic Daughters in Hinsdale and Winchester.  It takes a group or team of about 15 volunteers to prepare a meal after a funeral.  Many of the team members make their donation and drop it off.  Won’t you be a part of this vital program?  Here are the contacts:
